Tu B’Shvat Seder, Feb 2015

Our Tu B’shvat seder is based on a ritual created by Jewish mystics of 16th century Tsfat and adapted for progressive secular Jewish life today. In a ceremony led by Hannah Temple, we celebrated our relationship with the natural world with songs, silence, readings, fruits, juices, and attention to environmental justice.

During our seder we unveiled the MIDRASH MURAL by the Alef-Bey & Giml classes, featuring scenes, questions, and imaginings from the Garden of Eden and other stories of creation.

And the night before our seder, our b’nei mitsve class was hard at work/play getting ready for their Tu B’Shvat Cake pop sale to raise funds for Jonah's b'nei mitsve project supporting a school in Nepal.
