Avrom Sutzkever: Legendary Poet and Hero of the Vilna Ghetto

On November 17, longtime shule teacher Kolya Borodulin gave a presentation on the acclaimed Yiddish poet Avrom Sutzkever (1913 - 2010), described by the New York Times as "the greatest poet of the Holocaust."

But Sutzkever was more than a poet; an escapee from the Vilna ghetto, he and his wife fought the Nazis as a partisan in the forests of Poland.

Kolya's multimedia program told the story of Sutzkever's remarkable life and featured samples of his powerful poetry.
